TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1- WEEK 4

"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery."

                                                                                     — Mark Van Doren

This week began with a special assembly that combined the inauguration of the Social Science Club with the observance of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day. The programme included an anti-war pledge, the moving story of Sadako Sasaki, a peace dance, a speech, a live quiz, a peace message,a peace song, the Headmaster’s address,  and the distribution of awards for various programmes. The atmosphere was both reflective and inspiring, reminding everyone of the importance of harmony and compassion.

During the week, I took classes in 9B and 8C, and also conducted a diagnostic test in 9B to assess students’ understanding of previous lessons. I assisted students in their work experience activities, guiding them in completing their tasks. Another highlight of the week was the school parliament election, which brought a sense of excitement and democratic spirit to the campus.
